Part 01 — Who we are
We're Allan and Emily. This year we made a decision most people thought was a little bit crazy: we sold, donated, and packed away our stuff, rented out our house, and started traveling full-time with our kids.
We homeschool on the road. We work from wherever we can get a good signal. We say yes to being weird and wild!
Part 02 — The problem
Meat snacks have always been in our travel kit. High protein, savoury, no fuss.
Then we had kids and realized nothing out there worked for all of us. Too tough, too sugary, or just not something you'd feel good handing to a four-year-old.
Part 03 — What we built
So we made what we couldn't find:
- A naturally fermented beef stick that would be tender, not tough
- With clean ingredients
- Single-serve packaging a kid can actually open
Canadian made beef sticks with simple ingredients and no fillers. Low and slow cooked, the way it should be done.
We called it Chuck.
Part 04 — The name
Why Chuck? Three reasons we landed on it.
Chuck is a cut of beef. The honest, working cut. Not fancy. Just good.
We also imagine Chuck as a friendly character. If you meet a Chuck, he's probably fun, not afraid to be himself, and just an all around nice guy.
And chuck it! As in chuck it in your bag, chuck it in your car, chuck it in your suitcase, and go!
Part 05 — What it's for
Chuck is the snack we built for our own family while we're on the go. We eat it in the car, on trails, at the airport, after school, after training.
It's for all of us, not just our kids.
But our kids ask for it every day!
We think yours will too.
And if you're out there living a little differently or chasing a big dream we're cheering you on!
